TOOL-A-THANE URETHANE WIPE DOWN DIE
The TOOL-A-THANE urethane wipe down die offers many advantages including: excellent accuracy, high blank holding pressures, and easy replacement of wipers and springs. Where large metal sheets are being formed and sheet flip-up is a problem, wipe down dies form flanges with no main sheet movement.
Wiper blades are used to form flanges without scratching or marking pre-finished steel, aluminum, etc. sheets. The wiper blades also automatically adjust for metal thickness variations without damage to the die or metal being formed. The urethane pressure pad is used to hold and maintain flatness of main body of steel sheet while forming.
